Hey, you. Guess what? It’s fall.
Time to unfreeze those gym memberships.
There’s nothing quite like summertime in Montana, and I’m always sad to see it go…
BUT with a new season comes a chance for a new start. An opportunity to shake things up… forge some new habits… or maybe, for you, this time of year brings a welcome return to routine (in which case, why not make yoga a regular part?)
No matter what you’re feeling about the changing of seasons, now is the time to design a fall and winter routine that keeps you feeling your best- whatever that looks like for you.
For me, yoga is an essential grounding that keeps me focused and positive during the long, snowy Montana winter. Adding hot yoga to my weekly routine offers an escape from near sub-zero temps, not to mention keeps my mind and body active at a time of year when all I want to do is sit inside staring at screens.
If you do ONE thing for yourself this fall and winter to stay sane, why not make it yoga?
If you’re local to Missoula or plan on passing through sometime soon, I invite you to join me at any of the following (find more details here on my Classes + Events page):
- FREE Yoga for Veterans / First Responders at The Red Willow Learning Center – Mondays from 2-3pm
- Yoga for Endurance (Vinyasa Flow) at Freestone Climbing Gym – Wednesdays from 9-10am
- Yoga for Everyone at the YMCA – Wednesdays from 6:45-7:45pm
- NEW! Yoga at Brio Fitness – Thursdays from 12:10-1:10pm
Also, join me on Saturday, September 21st at the Day of Meditation and Yoga in support of the Freedom On the Inside yoga program for inmates of the Missoula County Detention Center. I have the privilege of teaching the male inmates every other Tuesday evening and have seen first-hand the incredible mental and behavioral benefits it offers. I’d love to see some familiar AND unfamiliar faces in my yoga class at 10:15am that day, or at any of the other classes taught by my talented Red Willow colleagues.
